TILSIM
TILSIM is a product family inspired by a traditional motif commonly used in Turkish rugs. The motif is also known as “amulet, evil eye, muska, nazarlik”, and is believed to bring good luck. The home furnishing set consists of a coffee table, a pouf and a lighting. The materials are selected from a range of traditional materials such as felt, wood, leather and brass. They all refer to Nomadic culture and designed according to the functions of the products.
The work was awarded as one of the top 15 projects of “Young Balkan Designers: New Analogue 2016” competition. The product family was exhibited in Belgrade, in the talent zone of Mikser Festival 2016, and was a part of the travelling exhibition touring to leading regional design events in cities such as Skopje, Tirana and Ljubljana.
